2018 G2

The 2018 Syrah showcases the pure expression of the renowned G2 Vineyard in the Paso Robles Willow Creek District. Crafted from 100% Syrah and aged for 22 months in 30% new French oak, this wine is a harmonious blend of power and elegance.

On the nose, it unveils a bouquet of blackberries, violets, cracked pepper, and a hint of smoked meat, layered with subtle notes of toasted oak and baking spices. The palate is rich and full-bodied, offering a luscious core of dark plum, blueberry compote, and black cherry, balanced by a vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins. The influence of new French oak adds depth and complexity, with nuances of vanilla, espresso, and a touch of cedar.

The finish is long and velvety, leaving traces of dark chocolate and a minerally edge, a hallmark of G2 Vineyard’s limestone-rich soils.
