2018 BATELEUR EXT

Aged 36 months in 20% New French Oak Barrels.  84% Grenache, 16% Syrah from the Central Coast.  The Grenache offers startling flavors of raspberries and strawberries and a juicy mid-palate that ends on tingly, sometimes herbal-citrus finish whereas the Syrah comes into this blend with bold, black fruit and meaty black pepper flavors, as well as deep color.  The softer finish in the Syrah helps smooth out some of the tingle in the Grenache.
